Goal

We invite course participants to learn about patient and public involvement (PPI) in clinical research via a blend of traditional and experiential learning approaches from March-November.

Content

PPI for clinicians is divided into 2 parts

  • Part 1: PPI foundations
  • Part 2: PPI experience

Part 1 orients course participants with foundational information about PPI during in-person courses that provide theoretical foundations for understanding PPI and its role in clinical research.

Part 2 provides course participants with experiential knowledge from course participants being actively embedded in ongoing PPI projects, including consultations and PPI panel meetings.

Course participants come away with foundational and experiential knowledge for using PPI in their own clinical research projects, as well as understanding value-based reasons for doing so.

Target Group

Patient and Public Involvement for Clinicians is designed for Clinical Researchers and all persons who would like to get familiar with PPI in clinical research.
